Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Stax On ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Collection of Information

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for the App, such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We also collect data related to your usage of the App, including competition data and interactions with other users.

Additional information you may choose to provide includes:

• Fitness data such as exercise submissions, repetition counts, and exercise history.
• Physical characteristics such as weight, sex, and birth year, used for competition normalisation.
• Photos uploaded as profile pictures or within competition comments.
• Country and state for profile purposes.

We also collect certain information automatically, including:

• Device identifiers for push notification delivery.
• Crash and error reports via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability.
• Advertising data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, including ad interactions and coarse location derived from your IP address.

3. Use of Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
• Improve, personalise, and expand the App.
• Understand and analyse how you use the App.
• Communicate with you, including for customer service and updates.
• Process your transactions and manage your account.
• Display relevant advertisements within the App.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues using crash reports.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, and crash reporting.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — displays advertisements and may collect device identifiers and coarse location data.

On iOS, you will be asked for permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You may decline this request and the App will continue to function normally.

5. Disclosure of Information

We may share your information with third parties only in the ways described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose your information:

• To our service providers who assist us in operating the App (e.g., hosting, analytics, advertising).
• To comply with legal obligations, such as responding to a subpoena or court order.
• To protect and defend our rights and property.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored using industry-standard encryption at rest. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time via the App (Settings > Delete Account). Upon deletion, your account enters a 30-day recovery period during which you may log back in to restore it. After 30 days, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

You may also reset your exercise history and statistics independently without deleting your account.

8. Access and Correction

You have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you. You can update your profile information directly within the App. If you wish to access or correct other information, please contact us.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
